Chemsol Navy G Anti-Skid Safety Coating: high solids, two-component fast curing epoxy anti-skid floor and deck coating (non-slip paint).
Chemsol Navy G Anti-Skid Safety Coating is designed to increase safety in areas where slip and fall potential exists, in both indoor and outdoor environments. Chemsol Navy G has superb slip resistance in both wet and dry settings. It has extreme durability and has superb resistance to abrasion, wear, weather, chemicals and impact. It is easy to apply, easy to texture, easy to clean and is fire retardant when dry. Chemsol Navy G meets military specification MIL-PRF-24667. Please refer to the data sheet for more information by clicking “Technical Specs” above.
Chemsol Navy G is most frequently used in:
• Military settings
• Heavy marine settings
• Very heavy industrial settings
• Very heavy manufacturing settings
• Very heavy wheeled traffic, heavy vehicle traffic, semi-truck traffic
• Areas exposed to heavy chemicals: Nitric oxide, methanol, ethanol, ammonium nitrate, brake fluid, chlorine, skydrol, vinegar, MEK, antifreeze, acetone, ammonium hydroxide
Chemsol Navy G is ideal for use on the following substrates: metal, wood, concrete, plastics, tile, and other substrates that can accept an epoxy coating. The application surface should be prepped and cleaned in accordance with application instructions; surface preparation varies depending on the type of surface involved. A primer coat is recommended for best adhesion performance; please refer to the appropriate Chemsol primer. There are certain cases where a primer coat is not required, e.g., certain wood applications and concrete applications over 100% solids. Please contact us with surface preparation questions.
Chemsol Navy G is a 2-component product that consists of Part A (resin containing aggregate) and Part B (catalyst/hardener). Prior to application, both components must be mechanically mixed together until a uniform mixture is achieved with consistent color and aggregate distribution is achieved. Generally this is accomplished with a mechanical mixing blade and drill. Because Chemsol Navy G non-slip safety coating is a 2-part mixture, there is a pot life associated with the product. Thus, once Parts A and B are mixed, the material must be applied immediately.
Application of the anti-skid paint is very simple: using the estimated coverage per gallon as a guide (about 25 to 30 square feet per gallon), spread the coating onto the substrate. Using an epoxy floor squeegee to obtain a uniform distribution makes application easier. If an aggressive texture is desired, finish with a phenolic roller cover. Otherwise, a smooth texture can be achieved by using a number of tools including a closed cell rubber foam squeegee, trowel or other blade. Do not overwork the coating.
