Chemsol 75 Anti-Skid Safety Coating is a water-based acrylic one-component anti-skid floor and deck coating (non-slip paint). It is designed to increase safety in areas where slip and fall potential exists, in both indoor and outdoor environments. Chemsol 75 acrylic floor coating has superb slip resistance in both wet and dry settings. It has very good durability and resistance to abrasion, wear, weather, chemicals and impact. It is easy to apply, easy to texture, easy to clean and is fire retardant when dry. Chemsol 75 non-slip floor coating is designed for areas exposed to light pedestrian traffic. Chemsol 75 Anti-Skid Coating is most frequently used in:
• Applications on asphalt
• Areas of moderate pedestrian and light wheeled traffic
• Situations that don’t require a true epoxy coating (medium duty)
• Situations where consumer wants to use some coating now and save some for later
• Applications where color retention is important, especially where significant sunlight is present
Chemsol 75 acrylic floor coating is ideal for use on the following substrates: metal, wood, concrete, plastics, tile, asphalt, and other substrates that can accept paint. The application surface should be prepped and cleaned in accordance with application instructions; surface preparation varies depending on the type of surface involved. A primer coat is recommended for best adhesion performance; please refer to the appropriate Chemsol primer. There are certain cases where a primer coat is not required, e.g., certain wood applications and concrete applications over 100% solids. Please contact us with surface preparation questions.
Chemsol 75 is a 1-component product that consists of an aggregate-infused base. Prior to application, the product must be mechanically mixed until a uniform mixture is achieved with consistent color and aggregate distribution. Generally this is accomplished with a mechanical mixing blade and drill. After Chemsol 75 is mixed, apply the paint immediately.
Application of the non-slip floor coating is very simple: using the estimated coverage per gallon as a guide (about 70 square feet per gallon), spread the coating onto the substrate. Using an epoxy floor squeegee to obtain a uniform distribution makes application easier. If an aggressive texture is desired, finish with a phenolic roller cover. Otherwise, a smooth texture can be achieved by using a number of tools including a closed cell rubber foam squeegee, trowel or other blade. Do not overwork the coating. .
