MIL-PRF-81733 sealant specification covers accelerated, room temperature curing synthetic rubber compounds used in the sealing and coating of metal components on weapons and aircraft systems for protection against corrosion. The MIL-PRF-81733 Type I sealing compound is effective over a continuous operating temperature range of 65° to +250° F (54° to +121° C). The MIL-PRF-81733 Type II sealing compound is effective over a continuous operating temperature range of 80° to +320° F (62° to +160° C).
This MIL-PRF-8516 specification covers a two-component, chemically cured synthetic rubber compound for insulating, sealing, reinforcing, and corrosion protection of electric connectors, wiring, and other electric apparatus. This specification has provisions for shelf-life extension (see 3.2.4).
This MIL-R-46082 specification covers single-component, anaerobic retaining compounds for assembling slip-fitted parts with varied clearances. The retaining compounds are for use as alternatives for press and shrink fits. This specification is canceled. Superseded by ASTM-D5363.
This MIL-R-7575 specification covers the requirements for low-pressure laminating polyester resins used in fabricating glass fabric-based plastic laminates for various applications.
This MIL-R-9300 specification covers the requirements for low-pressure laminating epoxy resins used in fabricating glass fabric-based plastic laminates for various applicaitons.
This MIL-S-11030 specification covers single-component black, inert, thermoplastic, mastic, non-curing sealants. These sealing compounds are not to be used as an integral fuel tank or pressure cabin standards. The service temperature of the sealing compounds are -400c to 820c [-400 to 1800F).
This specification covers single component compounds and their primers suitable for coating, locking and retaining metal parts. This seal retaining compounds specification is canceled. Superseded by ASTM-D5363.
This MMM-A-121 synthetic rubber adhesive specification covers adhesives for bonding vulcanized synthetic rubber gaskets, matting, and similar items to steel.
This MMM-A-134 specification covers epoxy resin structural metal to metal adhesives for bondings such as the fabrication and repair of airframe parts, components, and other applications requiring bonding of a similar quality.
