The application surface should be prepped and cleaned in accordance with application instructions. Surface preparation varies depending on the type of surface involved. A primer coat is recommended for best adhesion performance. Please refer to the appropriate Chemsol primer. There are certain cases where a primer coat is not required, e.g., certain wood applications. Please contact us with surface preparation questions.

Chemsol 7175 is a 2-component product that consists of Part A (resin containing aggregate) and Part B (catalyst/hardener). Prior to application, both components must be mechanically mixed together until a uniform mixture is achieved with consistent color and aggregate distribution. Generally this is accomplished with a mechanical mixing blade and drill. Because Chemsol 7175 non-slip safety coating is a 2-part mixture, there is a pot life associated with the product. Thus, once Parts A and B are mixed, the material must be applied immediately.

Application of the anti-skid paint is very simple: using the estimated coverage per gallon as a guide (about 75 square feet per gallon), spread the coating onto the substrate. Using an epoxy floor squeegee to obtain a uniform distribution makes application easier. If an aggressive texture is desired, finish with a phenolic roller cover. The best way to apply Chemsol 7175 is with a phenolic core roller. Do not overwork the coating of the anti-slip decking paint.
