Description:
This specification covers chemical conversion materials used in the formation of coatings by the reaction of the material with the surfaces of aluminum and aluminum alloys.
Type I-Contains hexavalent chromium.
Type II-Does not contain hexavalent chromium.
Class 1A-For maximum protection against corrosion on painted or unpainted surfaces.
Class 3-For corrosion protection where low electrical resistance is required.

Form III-Premixed liquid
Form IV-Ready to use thixotropic premixed liquid
Form V-Ready to use thixotropic premeasured powder (after addition of water)
Form VI-Premixed liquid in a self contained device for touch up use

Method B-Wipe or brush on
Method C-Immersion
Method D-Applicator pen or presaturated device
Intended Use:
A conversion coating for maintenance pre-paint operations on aluminum surfaces prior to priming and painting.
